Unit 2: Analyzing and Writing Arguments

Unit 2.1 -  Evaluating, Tracing, and Writing an Argument from Nonfiction

In the first part of the unit, we will be evaluating how others write their arguments. We will explore the issue of how much/in what ways gender should affect school policy and the various perspectives on the topic. We will see how authors use ethos, pathos, and logos to try to convince others of their point of view.

Unit 2.2 - Writing an Argument from Multiple Sources

Then, we will write our own argument letters about gender and school policy to those with a vested interest in the topic (using the sources that we learned about in the first part of the unit).
